Sira,

Sira is a Woman from the Bedik ethnic group from East Senegal.
During my visit in that village, she was the focal point. She entertained us the whole time and make sure she had enough Kola.

The Bedik is an animist Group which is established in that region in West Africa. This group seems to originate from Mali.

They are also called "People of the happy valley" as they celebrate quite a few fest during the year.
I recall the one called “Gamond" between may and June , which is dedicated to fertility and puberty, rain and health.
Those event a marked by their rich presence of colours that are worn by the people.
